European Textile Strategy
Adjustment at a Glance
Implementing the EU Textile Strategy, nine key actions are identified to transform the textile sector[1]. These includes also design elements and information requirements which are particularly addressed in the “Sustainable Product Initiative” published in March 2022 either[2]. Here, key measures for circular and sustainable products including textiles are proposed. As a result, extended requirements will be placed on the manufacture of products, which are additionally reflected in the EU Textile Strategy.
In summary, significant amendments in the legal framework are pending in the next few years.
For Whom The Rules Apply?
